after care for your tan

Now that you have your custom "Glow" your aftercare is very important to have a long-lasting tan! Follow these instructions to have a long-lasting glow that is sure to give you confidence and make you feel your best! Luxe Glow will not be held accountable for after care that is not followed.

during your processing period

Wear LOOSE DARK clothing immediately following your tan throughout your process time.
Avoid any activity that will involve getting wet or cause sweating while you are processing.
Wait the given amount of processing time before showering. Your first shower will be a warm water RINSE (Est 3-5 minutes) with hand only (NO SOAP) to rinse all of the bronzer off. This is not your tan going down the drain I promise!!! Your tan will take 20 hours to fully process!
Pat Dry! Do not rub your towel over your skin. You will continue to dry like this remainder of tan.
Do not use any moisturizers after your first rinse. You can apply deodorant.

24 hours after your tan

You may now take a shower with SOAP and HAND only! No washcloth during duration of tan. Be sure to use soap that is safe for spray tanning so that you do not strip your tan. My favorite is Save Your Tan which is sold in the studio. This Spray Tan Safe body wash (which is the same brand of high-end solution Luxe Glow uses )CONDITIONS, BALANCES your pH & MOISTURIZES YOUR SPRAY TAN! Keeping it going strong hydrated and healthy! Other favorites include NATIVE OR RAW SUGAR both sold at Target or Walmart. (Travel sizes are available too)
Remember pat dry with a towel during the duration of your tan.
Moisturize twice daily to keep your skin hydrated. I love our tan extender which has DHA in it to help extend your tan while you moisturize. Others being NATIVE or RAW SUGAR.
You can wear perfume be sure to spray on clothes rather than skin. This can strip your tan.
Try to stay out of chlorinated pools or hot saunas where this will make tan fade faster.
Most importantly ENJOY your tan! Be confident! You will look amazing!
